Please not that registrations are done on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS.
Please enter your team on the waiting list even if the category is full.
All teams must:
1) Be registered and in good standing within their own region (P/TA) and with Volleyball Canada. Out of country teams must also be registered and in good standings within their own National Federation.
2) Participate in the Provincial Championship held in their own Province or Territory, if one exists (team roster must be the same at provincial and national).
3) Meet all registration requirements.
The teams roster may consist of a maximum of 15 players and 4 coaching staff. Only 12 of those 15 players can be registered on the scoresheet during the competition and will be permitted to play any given match. These 12 athletes may vary from one match to another.
Refunds will be given (less a $100 administration fee) on withdrawals made up to the entry deadline of the event (April 19th). After this time, no refunds will be given.
The Official Volleyball Canada 2009-2010 Indoor Rule Book
shall govern play at the National Championships.

When: Thursday May 13th between 8pm and 9pm.
Where: Auditorium at Columbia Bible College (2940 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford, BC)
Coaches are requested to present proof of coaching certification (full level 2) to scorekeepers at the beginning of each match, along with their team roster. If coaching certification is not presented, officials will make a note on the scoresheet for the tournament committee to take action.
Thursday: noon until 8pm.
Friday: 8am - 2pm
Friday and Saturday will be run on two waves. Approximate times as follows:
8 am - 2:30 pm Wave 1 (17U G / 18U B)
2:30 pm - 9 pm Wave 2 (18U G / 17U B)
Sunday will be determined based on results of previous two days.
The final match will be scheduled no later than 6pm on Sunday. We do our best to run on schedule, however unforeseen events may cause the tournament to run later than expected.
Practice times are available in 45 minute slots between 10am and 8pm (PST). Please contact Chris Berglund to schedule your time. These times will be available on a first come first served basis.
Please provide requested time, team name, gender and age category of the team.
A minimum of 15 minutes (5 on court, 5-5 hitting) will be available as warm-up prior to the start of each match.
Volleyball Canada certified officials will be assigned to each match. Official's coordination will be done through consultation with the Province and Territory Officials Chairs and the National Officials Chair.
All referees are required to attend the referees' meeting.
Meeting will take place between 8pm and 9pm Thursday May 13th at the Tradex. (1190 Cornell Street, Abbotsford).

Booth Space Available
Do you want to get your product out there to a large group of individuals in a short amount of time? Is there a service that you need to provide?
Each space registration includes a table and 2 chairs and pipe and drape around the space. Cost is $650 for a 10 x 10 booth for the duration of the event.
Requirements: set-up to be completed May 13th.

The $400.00 team performance bond remains the responsibility of each Provincial/Territorial Association. Ultimately, teams will be required to forward the bonds amount in the event of any infraction which affect:
1) VC Code of conduct violation
2) Accommodation/facility damages
3) Uniform regulation
4) Coaches fail to meet coaching certification requirements
5) If a team does not fulfill its competitive obligations to an event.

U 17 / 18 Nationals in Abbotsford: May 13th – 16th, 2010

This is our largest indoor tournament of the year with approximately 200 teams from all over the country competing over 3 days for a national title.
Scorekeeping: assigned to courts to record the game. Training is provided. ( 25/ shift)
Court runners: picking up scoresheets once games are completed and distributing them to the draw board. (4 / shift)
Welcome table: assisting people as they enter the Tradex. Explaining court layout, where courts are and other general questions. (4 / shift)
