Registration
Registration is to be done online at www.volleyball.ca Deadline : April 3rd, 2006 Registration fees : $675 (including all fees and taxes)
Team Eligibility
In order to be eligible to participate in a National Championship, a team must... 1 - Be registered and in good standing with its own PTA and with Volleyball Canada. Out of country teams must be registered and in good standing with their National Federation. 2 - Participate in its Provincial/Territorial Championship, if one exists, in any Tier. 3 - Meet registration requirements.
Athletes Eligibility
20 & Under - Players must be born in 1986 or later (no exception) Senior - No age restriction 35 & Over - Players must be born in 1971 or earlier (no exception)
Roster
The team roster may consist of a maximum of 15 players and 3 coaching staff (Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Manager). Only 12 of those 15 players can be registered on the scoresheet during the competition and will be permitted to play any given match. These 12 athletes may vary from one match to another. Rosters will be transfered from P/TAs to VC after each P/TA registration deadline. (Excepted in P/TAs not using online registration. Users will have to manually enter all information for each team member)
Withdrawals
Withdrawal is allowed. However, a $100 administrative fee will be charged for withdrawals that are requested prior to the registration deadline. No refund will be given for withdrawals requested after the registration deadline.
Team Check-in
Date :April 27th, 2006 Time : 3:00 to 7:00 pm Location : Ancaster Community Centre At check-in, coaches will be asked to verify their team roster and pick up players & coaches packages. Teams will not be allowed to begin play until they have verified their roster.
Coaches Meeting
Date: Thursday April 27th Time: 9:00pm Location: Ancaster Community Centre All coaches must attend the meeting, as any last minute technical adjustments will be dealt with at that time (i.e. Schedule change, Rule clarification).
Scorekeepers Meeting
Scorekeepers will be provided by the Host. Orientation Session Date: Wednesday April 26 Time: 7:00-9:00pm Location: Ancaster Community Centre
Opening Ceremonies
No opening ceremonies will be done at the beginning of the event.
Coaching Certification
All details regarding coaching certification verification will be posted here.
VC Certified Referees
Volleyball Canada certified officials will be assigned to each match. Official's coordination will be done through consultation with the Province or Territory Officials Chairs and the National Officials Chair.
Referee Technical Meeting
All certified officials are requested to attend a mandatory referee technical meeting, chaired by the Referee Supervisor. Date: April 27th, 2006 Time: 9:00pm Location : Ancaster Community Centre
Officiating Duties
Scorekeepers will be provided by the host. Volunteers line judges will be provided by the host if available.
Medical Services
Physiotherapy and taping services will be available at all sites.

Transportation
No transportation is offered. However, contact info for prefered rate local transportation will be posted here as it becomes available.
VC Boutique
Volleyball Canada will be on-site selling tournament souvenirs and VC clothes and gear.
Tournament Jury
The tournament jury is composed of a Volleyball Canada/Domestic Competition Committee (DCC) representative, Host committee representative, and the Referee Supervisor. For more information on the Jury's powers and duties, please consult the Indoor Competition Guide 2005-2006.
Performance Bond
The $400.00 team performance bond remains the responsibility of each Provincial/Territorial Association. Ultimately, teams will be required to forward the bonds amount in the event of any infraction which affect: 1) VC Code of conduct violation 2) Accommodation/facility damaged 3) Uniform regulation 4) Coaches fail to meet coaching certification requirements 5) If a team does not fulfill its competitive obligations to an event.
