Scheduling
The official schedule will be gaven to you at the coaches meeting Thursday evening.A preliminary schedule will be on-line on Wednesday evening. Here is the category schedule for Friday May 7th First block of competition 8h00 am to 1h45 pm -14U Men -15U Women -16U Men Secound block of competition 3h00 pm to 8h45 pm -14U Women -16U Women We do our best to run on schedule, however unforseen events may cause the tournament to run later than expected.
Team Check-In
Teams must check-in between 12:00 and 7:00 pm on Thursday May 6th in the hall of the main entrance of the Université de Sherbrooke sport complex to complete registration. Information packages including "program-poster", schedules, residence keys, meal coupons, city maps and a list of restaurants, will be handed out on site. For those who could not arrive on Thursday, check-in will be possible at the same location on Friday morning from 7:00 am till noon.
Coaching Certification
Coaches are requested to present proof of a completed level 1 coaching certification to scorekeepers at the beginning if each match, along with their team roster. If coaching certification is not presented, officials will make a note on the scoresheet for the tournament committee to take action.
Coaches' Meeting
The coaches' meeting will take place in tent next to the Univeristé de Sherbrooke at 9:00 pm, immediately after the national boys team Red and White game.
Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony will take place at the sports center of the University of Sherbrooke at 7:00 pm Thursday, May 6th. During this ceremony, there will be a Red and White male national team game.
Minor Officials (scorekeepers and linespeople)
The Club Envolley will provide scorekeepers to all teams. Teams are responsible to provide one linesperson at all of their matches.
Parking Fees

Practice Times
45 minutes practice time-slots may be booked at the University of Sherbrooke on Thursday May 6, 2010 between 1h30 pm to 6h00 pm. Practice times will be given on a first-come first serve basis and will only be available to teams who book IN ADVANCE. All practice time requests must be made before midnight on Monday May 3, 2010. Warm-up
A minimum of 10 minutes (5-5 for hitting) will be available for warm-up prior to the start of each match. Teams will be able to warm up with volleyballs in designated ball warm-up areas before each match.
Referees
Volleyball Canada certified officials will be assigned to each match. Official's coordination will be done through consultation with the Province or Territory Officials Chairs and the National Officials Chair.

Technical Matters
The Official Volleyball Canada 2009-2010 Indoor Rule Book shall govern play at the National Championships. Please review the 2009-2010 Indoor Competition for details concerning eligibility, divisions, seeding, scouting, etc. All coaches and team contacts should be aware of its content. It is available to be downloaded under Registration Information.

Medical Services
A physical rehabilitation technician will be present at all competition sites. He will provide pre-taping and taping services. However, you will have to provide your own bandages. In case of injury, if further diagnosis is necessary, an experienced physiotherapist will be present at the University of Sherbrooke.
Registration
Registration will open on January 22nd 2010. Deadline: April 12th 2010. Please note that in previous years this tournament has been full prior to March 1. Entry Fee: 14U: $775 15U/16U: $875. Please note that registrations are done on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS. Please enter your team on the waiting list even if the category is full.
Eligibility
All teams must: 1) Be registered and in good standing within their own region (P/TA) and with Volleyball Canada. Out of country teams must also be registered and in good standings within their own National Federation. 2) Participate in the Provincial Championship held in their own Province or Territory, if one exists (team roster must be the same at provincial and national). 3) Meet all registration requirements.
Roster
The teams roster may consist of a maximum of 15 players and 4 coaching staff. Only 12 of those 15 players can be registered on the scoresheet during the competition and will be permitted to play any given match. These 12 athletes may vary from one match to another.
Transportation
Teams are responsible for arranging their own transportation to, from and during the championships.
Tournament Jury
The tournament jury is composed of a Volleyball Canada/Domestic Competition Committee (DCC) representative, Host committee representative, and the Referee Supervisor. For more information on the Jury's powers and duties, please consult the Indoor Competition Guide 2009-2010.
Performance Bond
The $400.00 team performance bond remains the responsibility of each Provincial/Territorial Association. Ultimately, teams will be required to forward the bonds amount in the event of any infraction which affect: 1) VC Code of conduct violation 2) Accommodation/facility damages 3) Uniform regulation 4) Coaches fail to meet coaching certification requirements 5) If a team does not fulfill its competitive obligations to an event. Red & White match of the Men's National Team
The Men's National Team will be playing a Red & White match at Sherbrooke University on Thursday May 6h at 7:00 p.m. Teams members (players & coaches) will have the pleasure to assist the match gratuitously. Due to limited seating, the priority will be given to the teams members. Other spectators (parents, friends, etc.) will have the possibility to assist only if there are any seats left and on a "first come, first served" basis.
Spaghetti dinner
A « spaghetti dinner» will be served at the Université de Sherbrooke from 4:30 pm and 9:00 pm. Saturday only Not available at any other site. A reservation is required via the Club Envolley de Sherbrooke at [email protected] BEFORE 1:00 pm on Monday May 3rd. 7.50 $ per person. Payable in cash at the team check-in on Thursday between noon and 7:00 pm. Meal includes: spaghetti, bread, dessert & beverage.
Cantine
Cantines will be available at all competition sites. Menu and price list to come.......
Beach Party
There will be a Beach Party on Saturday evening from 4:30 pm and 8:30 pm at the Sport complex of the University of Sherbrooke's. So don't forget your bathing suit!
