This is usually an indication of a broken link between a match competitor and the result of a linked match.
Suggested fix: To correct this, the link in the affected competition must be reset. For example, if Match 10 includes the Winner of Match 8 and the Winner of Match 9, and those winners are Team Apples and Team Pears, then Match 10 should show Team Apples vs Team Pears. If a placeholder such as Winner of Match 8 remains, the link is broken.
To fix this, the tournament director should go to the Competition tab in the schedule, select the affected match, and resave the competition to reset the links.
Important: This action will recreate the affected match. If scores were previously entered, record them first because they will need to be re-entered.
A schedule identifies participating teams in the draw and can link results from the final standings of another schedule to propagate teams. Most often, this issue occurs because all competitions in the source pool must be complete before teams are propagated. The link must also refer to a valid final standing in the pool, for example: 1st of Pool A - Preliminaries.
Suggested fix: Review the link in the schedule draw and confirm it is set up correctly. To re-propagate teams, simply resave a score from the linked schedule.
ISET offers several ranking options, all based on Volleyball Canada rules:
Yes. ISET permits a competition to be configured as 2 of 2 or other similar options. However, this format is not compliant with FIVB or Volleyball Canada rules that require a winner to be defined. Because this format can result in a 1-1 outcome, no match winner would be defined.
To support this scenario, ISET offers a set-ranking feature that ignores match ratio in the Volleyball Canada ranking and tie-break process.
ISET does not support automated cross-pool scheduling. However, it can still be used for manual ranking. This format is generally not compliant with Volleyball Canada tie-break procedures because teams in the same pool do not all play one another, which makes ranking more difficult.
Contact us for ideas on other scheduling options for small pool play that give teams the required number of matches while still respecting Volleyball Canada rules and benefiting from ISET automation.
ISET offers several ways for scores to be entered:
Currently, ISET offers limited analytics for matches reported through E-Scoresheet. This includes point graphs that compare scoring between teams to identify runs and lulls.
The TIN is set up by the tournament director and shared with courts and scorekeepers. Please contact the tournament director for details.
